Finding peace
I sit early in the morning in my kitchen and look around. Peace, silence, a new day dawns, the sun slowly rises through the window… only the occasional sound of a tram in the distance. The city is still sleeping.
I listen to the environment, but also to my soul… and I discover, Peace is what I long for. That is what I need again today. Peace is not some external reality, it is not freedom from chores and going on vacation. It is not even moving away from people and necessarily entering solitude.
Man, in fact, may be in the most beautiful place in this world, perhaps alone, or perhaps surrounded by dear people, having all the material necessities for life, and yet in fact he is restless, dissatisfied, unhappy or he sees no meaning in anything.
How are you? How is your soul today, dear reader? What are you longing for today? Do you also have everything that you need and yet again as if you were constantly missing something? Are you at peace and do you do your work with blessings, or are you constantly tense and in spasms? Do you know how to say thank you or do you often grumble? What are your eyes fixed on? Can you stand in front of people with a clear face?
Man finds his peace above all in the deep and unshakable knowledge and experience that he is loved by the Creator, and that he knows whose he is, where he came into this world from and where his life is going. Constant uncertainty and insecurity create restlessness in man.
Furthermore, man cannot carry peace within himself if he does not accept his life and himself as he is, or if he carries anger or negativity towards another person in his heart. Without forgiveness and forgiving man cannot find peace. That is why you carry some kind of insult, maybe from yesterday, or maybe for many years, decide that you do not want to be like that anymore.
Reject all attachment to negativity and evil and allow that seemingly little glimmer of good, which like a crack in a rock brings light into a dark cave, brings serenity to your spiritual soul.
I wish you, dear reader, that peace, security and joy pervade you today, that your spiritual soul revives in a new way and that you testify to this very thing to others!
