Enter into practice
I am reading wonderful texts these days on this website of ours. So much sweetness, so much hope and encouragement in these times of negative and pessimistics news from all around. It is as if the soul rests and heals just by reading and absorbing the good that springs from the words. However, I ask myself again today: What have I actually implemented in my life from all that I read? And what of that will I apply?
Will all these precious seeds of spiritual health fall somewhere along the way? Will it all pass me by?
Think about it, dear faithful reader, how much have you already read on these pages? Be honest with yourself and answer: „Did you really accept any of that and do any of this? Have you been persistent in anticipation of the fruits?“
Try to recall which word, sentence or experience touched you in a special way? Do you give much thought to it, do you relive it anew? I suggest you return again to that word that struck you and in which you recognized: this is exactly what I need, this is what my soul longs for…
It is not enough just to read about forgiveness, about trust, about getting out of fears, about how to love another, about what is recollection or how to start building good and healthy thoughts and speech… Man does not live from that.
Man is alive, he changes and develops only when he dares and despite the sluggishness of the body and the resistance of the psyche says – I am going to do it! I am going to try it! When the doctor prescribes therapy, we go to the pharmacy, get the medicine and take it at the prescribed time. It is the same with spiritual medicines. We read or hear what is good for our life, what should be done and how.
Today is the time to take that concrete step into practice.
You only pass this earth and this day once… Dare! Eternal love follows your every step and supports you! Your Creator believes in you!
Born in Zagreb. Married, mother of two children. By profession master of social work, employed at the Retirement Home in Zagreb. As a high school student, in 1998 she came to the Centre for Spiritual Help in Zagreb seeking help in dealing with her own existential fears. At the same time as going to hagiotherapy, she participates in seminars for new evangelization and since then she has been inextricably linked to the activities of the Community Prayer and Word and the Centre for Spiritual Help in Zagreb, where she has been a volunteer since 2000. She is currently working as a hagioassistant.
