I BELIEVE
Every man on this earth is a believer. All of us who went to bed last night believed we would wake up this morning. We believe that the food we eat for breakfast is good and healthy, that it is not bad. When we get in a car, on tram or a bus we believe we will arrive at our destination happily and safely. We trust the doctors who prescribe us a certain therapy. We believe that the people we will meet today will be kind to us and will not hurt us. Man lives by faith. He cannot survive in this world if he constantly doubts everything.
To be a believer means to be one who expects good, one who looks ahead and walks boldly knowing: There is Someone who holds everything and who turns everything for good! I believe in Him, I trust in Him! I put all my plans and my whole life in His hands.
Meet first with your soul… and then with the One who called you to life… Listen to him ask you again and again:
Do you believe in me? Do you believe I lead your life?
And then why do you worry anxiously?
Why do you murmur and do not accept the situations given to you?
Look up! Look at me! Do not be afraid! Just believe! He who believes in me cannot and will never fail.
Let these words descend into your heart, into your life and become a solid and secure foundation on which you stand…
To believe means to walk across a wobbly bridge to the other side of the river. If you let fear and doubt overwhelm you, you will never see and experience the beauty of that other side. You are on the move! And He is already waiting for you on the bridge with outstretched arms.
Will you believe him today and go?
